Smile

Shankar and his friend are sitting in a café as the waiter pours tea on their cups and says, “Sorry, Sir.” Shankar looks at him with a smile and says, “It’s alright! No problems!”

The waiter goes to the other table and his friend says, “Why did you smile at him? He spilled coffee on your shirt!”

“See, if I wanted I could have created a huge uproar which may have led to his dismissal. This smile of mine to support him in this moment gives him a moment of joy for him and inner peace for myself.”
