A Photograph

A photograph

I am looking at a photograph of my employment year and my colleagues who joined the government in the same year. I felt nostalgia for being happy to earn on my own feet for the first time. But in that photograph, Soumen became a very close friend of mine. But, he is dead and so are his ideas of rebellion against oppression. He was talented yet ruthless. I have put the photograph into the Scan and Eraser Machine to delete his existence from government files and documents one by one because I betrayed him for my survival.
